The BBC reports a "growing number of people who practice joggling - a competitive sport that combines juggling with jogging..." Apparently this alleviates the boredom of running for some. Each to their own.
For myself, I have a good knowledge of my own gradually decreasing sharpness of vision, and increasing likeliness of tripping over on some bush trail, resulting in pain and more scars. Also, there is the thing where men are not so great at multi-tasking. So for the foreseeable future, I'll pass on this novelty. Besides, adding something annoying to the usual serenity of running seems counterproductive.
Let's not be afraid to say 'no' to things that disrupt our inner peace. We are often juggling so many things we don't do them well. Maybe it's something we can't say no to, it has to be confronted. Well then, let's avoid procrastination and get it done so we can once again be clear-minded.
In Luke chapter 10 we find Jesus enjoying the hospitality of Martha and Mary. Perhaps we identify with one or the other. Jesus has some wise words for Martha in verses 41-42 as she juggles trying to do everything and serve everyone; “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one..."
Of course, whatever else we are juggling, the point is following God's way through Jesus and in the Spirit is the one thing, the whole point of our faith - something we remember as we draw close to Easter. Shalom
